A candle light vigil will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 7:00pm at the Fulton County jail located at 901 Rice Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30318 for Douglass Brown, an inmate found dead on his cell floor October 19, 2013.
Mr. Brown was a diabetic and informed workers at the county jail not only about his condition but also about his medication. The family of Mr. Brown believe that he was not administered his medication properly which resulted in his demise.
The family and community would like for the public to show support at the rally. Organizational supporters will include, Let Us Make Man, Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, Sankofa United Church of Christ, SCLC, Nation Action Network, FTP Movement, Rainbow Push Coalition, Simply United Together (SUT) and the Nation of Islam.
