Will Nicki Minaj be brought on to “American Idol” at the expense of Mariah Carey? Sources say Carey hung up the phone when she was told the Pink Friday Barbie, was the top “American Idol” judge candidate.
According to TMZ, sources close to the popular singing competition shared that Carey was led to believe she would be the only female host on the panel and finalized her deal to join the show last month. Choosing Nicki would not only crush Carey’s opportunity to shine; we cannot miss the obvious age difference 42 vs. 29.
The possible replacement for Randy Jackson, sources say is Enrique Iglesias. The “dogg” has not yet confirmed if he is leaving with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler however, if Randy does choose to leave, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban are other artists the show is considering.
