Classic boom-bap coming your way in the form of the first visual from Tha Addicts upcoming August release, “This is For Us.” Who are Tha Addicts you may be asking yourself? Well, if you are frequent listeners of Sirius shows you will already be familiar because the South Florida duo can count among their champions legends like DJ Premier, DJ Eclipse, Tony Touch and Statik Selektah, who by the way also features on the album. Other notable cameos include Killer Mike, Eric Biddines and Mims. With a roster like that you can almost guarantee a healthy dose of social commentary and “Embedded”, todays offering does not disappoint. Over Wonder Breed-produced track that will literally make you nod your head off, members Menace and Bliz wax poetic about our obsession with social media and pop culture; an observation not without merit. Enjoy it after the jump and keep your eyes and ears tuned for future releases.
