According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, 23-year old Atlanta rapper Yung Teddy was found dead inside of a house in Pine Circle in Austell, Georgia last night (January 2). The AJC is reporting that police showed up to the house around 10:18 pm in response to a call about a shooting. Upon entering the house, they found Yung Teddy whose real name is Justin Mitchell dead from an “apparent gunshot wound”.
The eerie part of the story is that earlier that morning, around 8M, Mitchell took to his Twitter page saying “NIGGAS WANNA SEE ME DEAD“. The rapper also posted a screen shot on Instagram of a threatening text message he received on his iphone on January 1 which said: “Fuck nigga this yo year to die… U like finessing hope u like playing up funeral.. You and yo son & better believe I know yo every move bitch and don’t get yo baby mama flipped to u live with the….”. The rest of the text was cut off, but Yung Teddy posted the pic with the caption, “SOMEBODY MAD LOLOLOLOL”.
This tragedy which has happened just a little over a year after the killing of Atlanta rapper, Slim Dunkin, makes us wonder what’s really going on in the rap industry here in Atlanta?
HHE will keep you updated as the story is still developing, but as of now, police in Atlanta have released a description of the two people they believe shot Mitchell and are asking for assistance from anyone who may have information.
Investigators are asking for help in finding the two suspects in the shooting. The first is described as a black man with a thin build, between 20 and 23 years old, and about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, dark pants and a black beanie hat. He was armed with a handgun.
