Our cameras caught up with our friend and blogging head Necole Bitchie on the Soul Train Awards red carpet in Atlanta, GA.  The bright-eyed banger in black was the recipient of the ‘Best Soul Site’ award in honor of all her hard work that goes into bringing her readers the latest in urban/black celebrity news. In the brief video clip below Necole opens up about her first Heavy D memory and how to become a successful blogger.  Blessed with beauty and brains Ms. Bitchie has it all! Congrats to her on winning her award and we here at HHE wish her nothing but success from here on out.

In a move that doesn’t happen very often, if at all, the 2011 Soul Train Awards included a category for “Best Soul Site”. The award was voted on by fans and readers who decided that Necole Bitchie is the queen bee when it comes to blogging and keeping us all up to date with the latest in urban news and entertainment.  The nominees for Best Soul Site included Okayplayer.com, Singersroom.com, theybf.com, ConcreteLoop.com and of course NecoleBitchie.com.

Fast forward a few years, and look where she is now! Necole took to her website to thank the fans and readers who voted for her stating, “I know I haven’t written a really personal blog on this website in almost two years but I felt it was necessary today. I would like to take this time to give a personal ‘Thank You’ to each and every one of you that voted for ‘us’ to win the Soul Train Music Award for Best Soul Site this year. It really means the world to me!”. Read Necole’s entire thank you over at NecoleBitchie.com. Congrats Necole!
