Ny Daily News reports EMS workers in Ohio refused to come to the aid of a man who was shot 16 times because he had crossed just over a city border in his car, video shows.
The incident took place on Jan. 14 after a man was repeatedly shot in his vehicle in Cleveland, but had driven across the street into Euclid.
“Please take me to the hospital,” the victim can be heard pleading after cops arrived on the scene.
“They got EMS coming but they’re coming from South Euclid,” one cop can be heard saying to colleagues in newly-released video. “Can we see if one of our guys can come over here a little faster?”
The victim can be heard screaming as police tried to help.
“Our EMS won’t come,” police can be heard saying. “Their EMS is coming from South Euclid. That’s why I asked if they would come over here.
“They won’t come because it’s in your city. Even though it’s our victim they won’t come,” a cop says.
Police would rush the wounded man to a nearby hospital. He survived the shooting, but his condition is not known.A witness told cops that she saw a suspect firing at her boyfriend with an “assault rifle.” Authorities were later told that the victim was shot 16 times, including multiple wounds in the chest, the right knee, the right shoulder, the right hand, the left knee and the left foot.
On December 1, 1955, Mrs. Rosa Parks boarded a bus on her way home after work. A few stops later some white passengers boarded. The seats in the white section were full, so the bus driver moved toward the rear to shift the “colored section” back, in order for the one white man standing, to have a seat. He then instructed four people of color to get out of their seats and stand. Three of the four “colored” passengers complied. The fourth, Mrs. Rosa Parks never moved. She and the driver exchanged words and after realizing that Mrs. Parks wasn’t going to get up, the bus driver called the police and she Ms. Rosa Parks was arrested.
We have all heard this story of Rosa Parks. in history classes all over the country. We have been taught that she was an older woman, who refused to give up her seat because she was tired, after a long day at work. This account, however, is an unreliable, narration. Mrs. Parks, wasn’t old and her refusal was from the exhaustion, not from her day at work, but from the injustice, she and other people of color endured daily.

Claudette Colvin, Irene Morgan, Aurelia Browder, and Mary Louise Smith, just to name a few, were women of color who had also refused to give up their seats and were arrested. Mrs. Parks’ refusal emerged from the undignified treatment of people of color. Her refusal came from the profuse disappointment, hurt, and frustration due to the acquittal of the men responsible for the brutal murder of fourteen-year-old, Emmett Till.
This film, BEHIND THE MOVEMENT, shows us a more realistic view of what led to Mrs. Parks’ decision and ultimately the start of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, that was organized in 3 vigorous days and lasted 381 days. The film shows us the authenticity of how the boycott started and the people who organized and stood behind this movement, many people whose names may have only been mentioned vaguely or not at all.
BEHIND THE MOVEMENT, written by Katrina O’Gilvie and directed by Aric Avelino, stars Meta Golding, who plays Rosa Parks, Isaiah Washington, as Edgar “E.D Nixon,” Loretta Devine, as Jo Ann Robinson, and Roger Guenveur Smith, as Raymond Parks, and Shaun Clay as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This is a film that illustrates on not only the injustices of the 1950’s and 1960’s but also what we are faced with now, 68 years later.

Basketball Wive’s star Jennifer Williams is celebrating a victory in court for getting a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Tim Norman who she claims is violent and threatening.
TMZ caught up with Jennifer Monday outside the courthouse in downtown L.A., and she was brandishing the temporary restraining order the judge had just granted. The restraining order requires her ex, Tim Norman, to stay at least 100 yards away from her at all times.
Jennifer’s not satisfied though and told TMZ she’ll be back in court, as cameras followed Jennifer and her pal, Evelyn Lozada, outside court.
As for seeing Tim — who’s on OWN’s reality show “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” — in court? Jennifer claims he’s a “sick person” who needs help.
Looks like this drama will play out in the upcoming season of “Basketball Wives”.
The 60th Grammy Awards Ceremony was a night full of surprises, politics, and some amazing performances. Hosted by James Corden, the awards show took place Sunday night in Madison Square Garden in New York City, the first time the awards show has been in New York in 15 years.

At the pre-Grammy gala Saturday, Jay-Z was honored with the Industry Icon award and talked about his evolving feelings on the ceremony. “I realized that art is super-subjective. The academy, they are human like we are and they are voting on things they like. And we can pretend we don’t care, but we do,” he said.

Janelle Monae made an appearance at the 60th annual awards show introducing Kesha with a powerful message. Monae used her introduction to deliver a message on behalf of women in the industry: “We come in peace, but we mean business.” “It’s not just going on in Hollywood, it’s not just going on in Washington, it’s right here in our industry as well,” she said. “And just as we have the power to shape culture, we also have the power to undo a culture that does not serve us well.”

Okay, he was a terrible painter. Poor thing. He had a terrible childhood. That means that when I’m looking at my daughter, MarsBadu’s daughter with enigmatic rapper Jay Electronica. She also has another daughter, Puma, with the West Coast rapper the D.O.C., I could imagine her being in someone else’s home and being treated so poorly, and what that could spawn. I see things like that. I guess it’s just the Pisces in me.
I’m perfectly willing to accept that you might be operating on a higher moral plane than I am, but I think going down the route of “Hitler was a child once too” is maybe turning the idea of empathy into an empty abstraction. Even though Erykah Badu admitted that her opinions may go against popular beliefs, she stands firmly by her statements. She has never been one to shy away from controversy and her willingness to speak freely is why many of us love her. But was this the best things to say especially during a time where the Trump Administration seems to be following in Hitler’s footsteps.

The ban follows the removal of the prominent rapper GAI from Hunan TV’s Singer, a hit competition show. Clips of GAI, whose real name is Zhou Yan, were also removed from China Hunan TV’s official Youtube Channel, but no official explanation has been given. Another popular rapper PG One had his music taken off streaming platforms after the government criticised his song “Christmas Eve,” accusing the song’s lyrics — which include the word “bitch” and references to “white powder” — of being misogynistic and promoting drug use.
Citizens reacted with anger to the ban, flooding Chinese social media with negative comments.
“How can a government with high culture have such childish logic?” one user wrote on Weibo — China’s equivalent of Twitter.

Malik plays the role of God aka “Oprah-Obama-Omama” a black female fusion character in the afro-futuristic dark comedy that takes place in the year 2097. The play tells a story of Three African-American female survivors of an unnamed worldwide cataclysm.
Malik Yoba fans are not too thrilled of the Cool Runnings actor role in the play especially him wearing makeup portraying to be a “female fusion character” Many unhappy fans took it to social media to share their disappointment.
Malik Yoba is playing “god,” a fusion of Oprah and Obama in a play. The role requires him to wear lipstick and make up. Three black women rulling America in 2097 are searching for the last black man is the storyline. Sounds pretty “psychedelic” to me.

Some of Malik’s social media followers defended the actor, saying the makeup is for a Broadway acting role. But the majority of fans feel Malik’s role is another sad attempt to showcase the emasculation of black men in America.
As South Central rapper Bale preps for the release of his aptly titled project Hard Times Shaped Me, it’s impossible not to look back at this young emcee’s inexplicable and superhuman recovery from a nearly fatal shooting. As such the young rapper will address the unfortunate shooting that riddled him with 28 shots from head to toe in his new documentary.
Prior to that Bale plans to release his video for “Check” taking fans through his LA neighborhood. Breaking down the harsh realities of getting shot and his struggle to recovery Bale explains how music and his passion to tell his story would be the reason he survived.
Now with the horrors of the past in the rear view, Bale takes fans on a trip to see what a day in the life looks like in South Central with his visual for “Check.” From the barber shop to the food spot to kicking back with his friends in the back of a pick up truck, Bale shows that he down to earth and humble, yet cool under the harshest of circumstances.
At his side and mentoring him along the way is West-Coast mainstay Krondon, who eagerly entered into a business partnership with the young South Central upstart who impressed him with his story and ability to create meaningful music.
The release of the project comes on the heels of Krondon’s premiere appearance and role as Tobias Whale in CW’s interpretation of the famed 1970’s DC Comic Black Lightning.

In an era where mumble rap and multi-colored hair rappers are a common occurrence, real lyricists are often overlooked. But Los Angeles rapper Greedy Macc is true to the game and he’s making sure he gets the attention he deserves.
“I’m a real rapper and I got real word play. I like to make the words connect and rhyme and I like to make a story. Back in the day you had to make songs, now you can just do anything you want and go platinum,” Greedy Macc said.
Getting his start on the road with Too Short in the early 2000’s Greedy Macc fell in love with Hip-Hop and the process of making music being on a major national tour.
“I got started making music just being with friends, then I met Too Short and went on tour with him. It was over from there, I ended up putting together a studio and I’ve been making music since,” Greedy Macc said. “I got songs with Too Short, E-40, Gucci Mane, Tyga, OT Genasis and Iamsu!, I’ve been doing music for a long time. I like making music to make people dance. People hate when I say it, but its a hobby of mine. It’s just one of the dopest things in the world, imagine a world with out music!”
Armed with his new single, “Lebron,” this West Coast staple is looking to make waves in this new generation of rap, so that he can continue to leave his mark on the game he loves so much.
“The Lebron song came about because everyone keeps hating on him for no reason. They say oh he’s not Kobe, or oh he’s not Jordan, and that he doesn’t have the killer instinct. How come they keep stripping everything and taking everything from him? When he got his second ring I kind of had to side with him – and his shoes are comfortable, so I got all his sneaks.”
This track will find a home on his album called Mouthpiece and the project will be followed up by a second release in June. Following Mouthpiece Parts 1 & 2, Greedy Macc is planning on releasing his project Cartier Chris which he plans to release around Christmas in 2018.

Friends and family members are mourning the lost of Derrick Coleman, better known to the rap game as Lil Alfredo or Fredo Santana was found dead hours ago.
Fredo is the cousin of Chicago rapper Chief Keef. Fredo also appeared in rapper Drake’s music video Hold On, Were Going Home, playing a man who kidnapped Drake’s girlfriend.
Fredo suffered kidney failure back in October and had to be rushed to the hospital. Fredo recently released his Fredo Kruger 2mixtape back in early September featuring Chief Keef, Kodak Black and others.
Chief Keef wasn’t happy that some were referring Santana as his friend so he took to his official twitter page to set the record straight:
