New Video Alert: Dbangz – “Medusa”

0

19-year-old, LA-based MC Dbangz has released a video for “Medusa” that carries the stone-blooded energy of the Greek Gorgon that it shares his name with. The visual is for the song that appears on his most recent EP, Been A Long Time. If you want a look at exotic furniture and scaly representations of sin, this is the video for you.

When people aren’t genuine, they’re considered to be fake, or slimy individuals — snakes, if you will. This concept is at the center of “Medusa,” with Dbangz contextualizing his place as one of the realest in a world full of people that offer fake support or wish to do him harm. He knows how to maneuver in the right way that will keep him and the people he loves safe as he continues his rapid ascent to stardom.

In the video for “Medusa,” Dbangz stars as a sharply-dressed snake charmer who toys with the reptiles just like he plays insincere people like fiddles. While rapping fiercely at the camera, snakes slither around his hands that extend from silk shirts. Along with its showcasing of phenomenal interior design, “Medusa” makes its case for being one of the year’s most visually striking videos.

“Medusa” is the latest release from the Been A Long Time EP that recognizes the fact that he’s been rapping for five years. This recent release has gained the likes of The Source, UPROXX, and more. In addition to a one of a kind performance with Kinda Neat, Dbangz is definitely an artist to watch. Listen to Been A Long Time and stay tuned for more from the rapper coming soon.

New Video Alert: Raff Pylon – “Christmas in California” Ft. Snoop Dogg

0

Today Canadian artist Raff Pylon releases his new music video for “Christmas in California” ft. Snoop Dogg just in time for the holidays.  Teaming up with a Hip-Hop legend in Snoop Dogg, it’s clear this Canadian knows just how to ring in the holiday season California style.

Inspired by the Christmas spirit and in preparation for the holiday season, “Christmas in California” is an R&B styled song with soft electro Pop beats that are sure to warm up the holidays for a wide audience.

“The legendary Snoop Dogg lended his voice to add even more California vibes to the track so his verse is super cool and unique. He also took part in the music video with me, so it’s been a ton of fun to see this whole thing come to life,” Raff Pylon said.

Recently Raff Pylon has been on a steady rise with appearances on The Loop (eTalk), CTV Ottawa Morning Live, GlobalNews, SiriusXM and more. Adding to his catalog that includes his song “King’s Lane” with Tito Jackson from The Jackson 5Raff Pylon vibes out with more of a Summery feel to this song than traditional Christmas songs.

“This time around we give a holiday song with a Summer flare that relates to everyone that celebrates the Holidays in the Southern warmer temperatures. It’s especially for those like me who get to enjoy a Cali Christmas for the first time,” Raff Pylon said. “This Christmas in California project is a huge project for me, it’s pretty much my biggest collaboration to this day. It’s also a very unique song for me as it is meant for the holidays which gives a rather special feel to it. Both the song and video are very cool because of the contrast it gives with all the other Christmas songs people are used to.”

Raised in a town called Beloeil, on the south shore of Montreal. Raff’s first language was French when he was growing up. After first hearing The Beatles for the first time, Raff’s world was changed forever sparking an interest in playing drums, piano and eventually guitar.

By 17 years old Raff joined a band seeking to make a living off music and eventually he went solo as he developed his style further from a production standpoint.

“I always co-produce my songs with other producers that can help me in the studio. This time around, it was with Ben Pelchat and Grammy winner Earl Powell who has worked with Jennifer Hudson, The Jacksons and Keyshia Cole to name a few.”

Fans who enjoy this track can look forward to the Prince Bagdasarian directed video who has movies on Showtime along with many more high level productions.

0

Atlanta, GA – This week, Evangelist Alveda King, Former Congressional candidate Angela Stanton King and Atlanta Pastor Frankie Vega were joined by local and national faith leaders to peacefully protest Senate Candidate Raphael Warnock’s pro-abortion views.  Their theme, “Not on My Watch”, declares that they are exposing Senate Candidate Warnock’s pro-abortion agenda and encourage Georgians of faith to Vote for Life.

The peaceful protest began and ended at Pastor Warnock’s Horizons Ebenezer Baptist church on Auburn Avenue in Atlanta, GA.  The route included the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church across the street, where Alveda’s Grandfather, Reverend Martin Luther King Sr. (Daddy King), her Father Reverend A.D. King and her famous uncle Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. formally pastored during their lifetime. Alveda says, “I was raised by patriarchs Baptist preachers. They defended life from the womb to the tomb; anti-abortion; Pro-GOD.”  The original Historical Ebenezer Baptist Church building where the King Family pastors preached is now part of the historical MLK National Park.

The peaceful protest began in front of the Horizons building where Pastor Warnock is senior pastor. The protesters marched from that location to the Warnock campaign headquarters on Edgewood Avenue. Upon arrival on their mission to deliver handwritten messages with bible passages supporting biblical views on life & family, the protestors were met at the door by Warnock’s campaign workers who promptly locked the doors, refusing their peaceful message

Bishop Aubrey Shines of Florida left the messages in a crack in the door while Bishop Leon Benjamin of Virginia led the group in prayer.  The peaceful protest continued and ended at Warnock’s Horizons Chapel.
