Conrad Murray Sentenced to 4 Years in Jail After Michael Jackson’s Death

0

Almost 2 1/2 years after musical legend, Michael Jackson’s death due to the lethal intake of the drug, Propofol, the doctor who prescribed the drugs has been convicted. Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor sentenced Conrad Murray to the maximum 4 year prison sentence, which may end up being cut due to jail overcrowding. In addition to the 4 year sentence, prosecutors asked that Murray be forced to pay $101 million in restitution to the Jackson family. Judge Pastor denied that motion, but will make him pay restitution, but not in the large sum of $101 million.

Murray’s defense attorney Ed Chernoff agreed with the public that Jackson’s death was a tragedy, but also stated “It certainly demands punishment. I do wonder to what extent the court considers the entirety of a man’s book of life as opposed to just one chapter.”

Jackson’s family including mother Katherine and other siblings were present to witness the conviction of Conrad Murray.

As of late 2011,  Mr. 106 & Park  gives us a peak behind the scenes of his new music video “Sweat” ft CEO Lil Wayne. In addition to catching a glimpse of Cash Money leader Birdman, the enitre Young Money camp can be seen in the video giving Bow support on his upcoming project.  From the looks of things, Birdman’s empire has a load of music ready to bless the industry in 2012 on top of Bow’s Detail produced single. Bow Wow also talks about his journey as an artist from his prior career to now where he feels more like a full-grown man doing his work as opposed to having fun when he was younger. Wowzers!! Tameka Foster Accuses Ex Hubby Usher of Using Drugs During Heated Custody Battle

0

Wow. In a random turn of events, it seems that the custody battle between Usher and Tameka Foster is getting uglier by the day. In January of this year, Usher made court motions to try and get sole custody of their two sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond after Tameka wouldn’t consent to the boys going on a world tour with their father. Obviously, Ms. Tameka Foster hasn’t been too thrilled with Usher’s moves, and is now laying it all out on the table. Tameka is now requesting that Usher submit to drug testing, claiming that he was high during a January 2011 concert in Germany.Usher’s people have written his behavior during that concert off as Usher being sick. Tameka responded by saying “I dated him . . . when he’s had a very serious throat condition and he still performs like a champ. I really feel strongly that something was going on there, and it wasn’t, ‘Oh I have laryngitis.’ ”

The mother of Usher’s two children is also claiming that back in September of 2008, she found mysterious “pills” in his jean pockets and believes that he gets high. “I believe he gets high. And if he doesn’t then he’d take the drug test, correct?” Last week Usher filed a claim against Tameka, stating that her statements were “frivolous and unfounded” and were meant to “harass and embarrass” the singer. Well if that was her objective she surely achieved it. Mr. Raymond, just take the darn test and let the judge decide the rest!

Breaking News!! Police Officer Charged with Beating Child to Death

0

Nattyo Gray, a Vice and Narcotics officer in Jackson, Mississippi has been charged with beating his one year old daughter resulting in her death from internal bleeding. ”The baby died of injuries that were described as blunt force trauma to the abdomen area. Certainly from what I know right now, the baby was in the sole care of Detective Gray” said Lee Vance, Assistant Chief of the Jackson Police Department.

“It’s an unspeakable tragedy, an outrage. It’s as bad as it gets in my personal opinion, when a vulnerable baby is murdered like this. And, yeah, it compounds it when a police officer is involved but certainly you can’t take that and make it an indictment on the other 450 of us who come to work every day and try to make the city safe,”  said Chief Vance.

Gray has yet to make any public statements, and remains in jail. He has not been released into the jail’s general population due to his work as a detective and the repercussions that may come with him being housed with the other inmates.

0

According to United States Attorney Sally Quillian Yates, 58 year-old New Jersey attorney, Tobin Nilsen was sentenced to 12 years in prison for flying to Atlanta with the intentions of having sexual relations with a 7 year old girl. Nilsen met the mother of the imaginary girl in an internet chat room called “ChildSlaveSex” in May 2010, not knowing that the mother was actually an undercover FBI agent. After meeting the agent online, Nielsen explained to theagent that he wanted to introduce her daughter to the world of “sexual exploration”.

In June of 2010, after speaking with the mother and revealing his true identity, Nilsen bought a ticket to fly from Jersey to Atlanta to “have sex with the agent’s daughter”. Before his flight in June 2010, Nilsen was arrested by Bergen County, New Jersey law enforcement after initiating a separate encounter with another underaged minor. Drizzy Spotted (again) in Animal Print!!!

0
It does get cold on those video shoots

While on location in the Bay Area shooting the video for ‘The Motto’ off of his recently released ‘Take Care’ album, Drake was spotted wearing the Supreme x The North Face ‘Nuptse’ down jacket.  While temperatures are less than tropical this time of year, the spotted yellow rapping owl of Canada kept warm and swag levels cool. If you’re a regular visitor of the site than you know I did a post about the jacket that also comes in green and yellow. You may also know that Drizzy is no stranger to adding exotic animal skins to his wardrobe. However, this may be the opnly time when he wore something not so…  flamboyant.  Can’t wait to see the video!

Its the End of the Road for Maybach!!!

0
Jay & Yeezy about to do some damage in 'Otis' video

Let’s all take this time to pour out a little gasoline and say a prayer for hip hop’s most beloved and luxurious means of flashy transportation: the Maybach.  It’s been reported that after a decade of profit loss, the Birkin bag of the Mercedes brand will head up to that big auto storage yard in the sky. Someone get on the phone with Rick Ross and the heads of Maybach Music Group to tell them that serious label alterations need to be addressed!

The hunk of expensive metal costing upwards of $350,000, was reintroduced with the 1930s-esq marquee in 2002. But now, with only 1% of the population being able to afford them, Daimler is closing production doors and putting the Maybach out to pasture to make room for the expansion of the S-Class model as a replacement.  “It would not make sense to develop a successor model, it can replace the Maybach,” said CEO Dieter Zetsche.

You would think with all the name dropping done by rap artists like Mr. Rozay, and the vehicle being featured as  the sexiest video vixen in Jay-Z and Kanye’s ‘Otis’ video (even despite it being severely altered) that it would have made some kind of impact. Oh well, R.I.P. to you Maybach. I’m sure we could’ve had some good times. No words on if Mercedes will hold a star studded memorial service or not. I can already imagine that instead of a eulogy, they’ll just play songs where the Maybach was mentioned in the lyrics.

With her top taken off.

Syria Finally Sanctioned by U.S., European Nation, Arab League & More Due to Violent Regime

0
After 7 Months of protesting the Syrian people still have not been able to oust leader, Bashar al Assad

Like Father, Like Son. Bashar al Assad refuses to negotiate with the thousands of protestors demanding an end to his totalitarian regime in Syria. The uprising began in March of this year as a peaceful, unarmed protest for better economic, social, and political liberties in response to Eygpt and Tunisia’s successful protests, but the Syrian protest quickly led to Bashar using violent tactics to crush civilian opposition. The death toll reported by the United Nations has reached close to 3,500 innocent protestors, including children.

However, no other sovereign nation has gotten militarily involved in Syria, unlike NATO forces in Lebanon’s uprising. Although, the UN globally recognizes Humanitarian Rights violations by Bashar and the Ba’ath Regime, they have ruled for 40 years, beginning with Bashar’s Father, Hafez al Assad. A similar protest in the 70’s was crushed by Hafez, when he virtually killed tons of his unarmed citizens using military force.

Moreover, Syria may be deemed a delicate situation due to alliances with Iran and Russia. The country’s military has a force of 400,000 troops, which is more than NATO. Also, Syria shares borders with Turkey, Iraq and Israel. Any foreign military involvement may have a domino effect across the entire middle east. Hilary Clinton made it clear, “No military involvement in Syria, only pressure in forms of sanctioning the energy sections to cut off revenue gains that support the Syrian Army.”

Accordingly, Nations have finally begun to sanction Syria after failure to comply with diplomatic resolutions. The Arab League has a 14-point sanctioning plan that will freeze Syria’s assets in Arab Countries. United States, European Union and Turkey sanctions will target banks and trade.

The people of Syria should be praised for their courage and strength to fight for their rights and freedoms, even with the fear of persecution, torture and death. The horrendous situation in Syria and other Nations should serve as a wake up call as to how blessed other parts of the world are in terms of freedom and protection by and from government. Check out Frontline’s “The Regime: Syria Undercover” to grasp the full effect of the conflict.
