After appearing on Season 3 of The Voice back in 2012 and earning a spot into the final four, R&B singer Trev Hunte is back for more with a new single entitled, “Love is Deadly.”
The new single is to be released by his recently established imprint Wise Maneuvers Ent. which is based out of Los Angeles and also houses rapper TJ Uchiee.
“Being on The Voice went so fast because it felt like I was a over-night sensation. My life changed drastically with exposure and just being able to perform with different celebrities, it was a great experience,” Trev Huntesaid.
Moving on after The Voice, Trev Hunte spent his time developing his sound and went through several different managers and agents before landing with Wise Maneuvers Ent’s via business manager and talent scout Olu.
“Most recently I tried to really hone in on the type of music that I was trying to create.” Trev Hunte explained of his new material. “After working with several different manager and agents, I linked up with Olu from Wise Maneuvers and now we’ve been putting together a clear plan that we can use to market the music.”
“I feel like Love is Deadly is very different from my stuff in the past and I can’t speak for all artists but what I struggled with in the beginning after The Voice was trying to be unique. I feel like with Love is Deadly I did that, it’s a song for all generations and it’s one of those songs that is definitely going to do things in the industry because of its uniqueness. The visual is beautiful just like love”
Focused on making timeless music on his yet to be titled album, Trev Hunte wants to create music that can still be listened to 10-15 years from now.
“I just want to put all my energy and emotions into the music and hopefully that will carry over to the fans and new listeners. I will let the music speak for itself,” Trev Hunte explained.

A disturbing video has surfaced on social media inside of an Asian nail salon in Brooklyn yesterday. Nail salon workers at New Red Apple Nail beat up a black woman and her granddaughters for refusing to pay for a botched eyebrow job.
In the video you see several employees beating one woman viciously in the back with what looks like a broom handle, witnesses and cops said. You also see a male employee hold another woman back so she could not help her sister who was being assaulted by the other workers.
According to witnesses, one woman was upset because her brow job was “f–ked up,’ (her words). A bystander not involved in the brawl took the video.
“So, I’m at the nail salon and they f–ked up a lady eyebrow and she refused to pay then a fight broke outttt,” explained Mercy Maduka in the video caption.
“Hitting them like animals,” she said.
One of the salon worker, Huiyue Zheng, 32, was arrested charged with assault and weapon possession, according to police.
The salon customer that was attacked was arrested as well. Zheng was released from jail on her own recognizance after a hearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court, cops said.
Customer Christina Thomas was booked on misdemeanor assault and other charges. She was also released on her own recognizance, the Post reports.
The video now has more than 700,000 views with many on Facebook urging people to stop supporting the nail salon.

When Beyonce’ speaks the world listens. Vogue Magazine just released their September issue featuring Beyonce. Beyonce is the first Black women ever to be given full control of her cover shoot for the magazine publication. The 36-year-old Icon used the opportunity to give 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell who is now the first African American to photograph a cover feature for Vogue.
Beyonce’s spread included breathtaking shots of the superstar in her natural state. Little to no makeup, her natural hair, wearing a bountiful floral arrangement as her headpiece. The caption for her cover featured the words “Every Voice Counts” Beyonce’ “In her own words”.

Beyonce did not grant an interview for the issue instead she narrated an essay that tells the story of her second pregnancy in “her own words,” revealing a traumatic ordeal that she previously hadn’t shared with the public, including an emergency C-section and her body’s changes post-pregnancy.
“I was 218 pounds the day I gave birth to Rumi and Sir,” she wrote. I was swollen from toxemia and had been on bed rest for over a month. My health and my babies’ health were in danger, so I had an emergency C-section. We spent many weeks in the NICU.”
In her own words, Beyonce gave us a peek into her world by sharing her experiences of being a mother and how she wants to raise her children.
As the mother of two girls, it’s important to me that they see themselves too—in books, films, and on runways. It’s important to me that they see themselves as CEOs, as bosses, and that they know they can write the script for their own lives—that they can speak their minds and they have no ceiling. They don’t have to be a certain type or fit into a specific category. They don’t have to be politically correct, as long as they’re authentic, respectful, compassionate, and empathetic. They can explore any religion, fall in love with any race, and love who they want to love.
I want the same things for my son. I want him to know that he can be strong and brave but that he can also be sensitive and kind. I want my son to have a high emotional IQ where he is free to be caring, truthful, and honest. It’s everything a woman wants in a man, and yet we don’t teach it to our boys.
I hope to teach my son not to fall victim to what the internet says he should be or how he should love. I want to create better representations for him so he is allowed to reach his full potential as a man, and to teach him that the real magic he possesses in the world is the power to affirm his own existence.

The Texas native also addressed her views on the inclusion of all ethnicities in the world of art, and how important it is for her to open doors.
It’s important to me that I help open doors for younger artists. There are so many cultural and societal barriers to entry that I like to do what I can to level the playing field, to present a different point of view for people who may feel like their voices don’t matter.

Beyonce is currently completing the American leg of her OTRII tour partnered with her husband Jay Z. The two have been touring since June grossing million all while sharing the message of Love. Check out Beyonce’s full essay on Vogue.com
Darnell often takes obstacles he’s faced throughout his life and uses them to paint vivid pictures of his music and deliver a ton of quality content. Williams is always equipped with hard-hitting lyrics and outrageous, impressive visuals and today is no different as he returns with a video for his single “Porno.”
Back in 2016 Darnell first introduced us to his Porno EP with his single “Blown” and he later told Billboard, “”I came up with the concept for ‘Porno’ midway into making my album. I realized all these songs I was putting out had a lot of real emotions and pain in them that otherwise I wouldn’t talk about, but for peoples’ entertainment I did. Same for porn stars, they might not necessary wanna do what they do, but for your entertainment they share their pain.” Now almost two years later we get to see things come full circle with this new visual. The video meets the bar set by his previous videos and sets the tone for the rest of Darnell Williams’ 2018.

Rappers YG and Big Sean are heated after the NFL & EA Sports censored a specific lyric from their hit single “Big Bank” on the Madden NFL 19 soundtrack.
According to videos posted on Twitter, the lyric that was censored says: “you boys all cap, I’m more Colin Kaepernick.” Kaepernick’s name was reported omitted from the song.

Big Sean took to Twitter to share his disapproval of the power move. “It’s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7’s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word,” the rapper wrote. “When he’s not a curse, he’s a gift! Nobody from my team approved any of this.”
YG also showed his disapproval via Instagram “NFL you owe us an apology.”
It’s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7’s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word. When he's not a curse, he's a gift! Nobody from my team approved any of this.

After tons of backlash from fans, EA Sports issued an apology for the edit.
“We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack. Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks,” the statement reads. “We messed up, and the edit should never have happened. We will make it right, with an update to Madden NFL 19 on August 6 that will include the reference again. We meant no disrespect, and we apologize to Colin, to YG and Big Sean, to the NFL, to all of their fans and our players for this mistake.”
The controversy surrounding Colin Kaepernick and the NFL has been going on for a while now. We all remember that time in 2016 when the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback took a knee during the national anthem. He has since been blacklisted by any team on the NFL. Kaepernick’s heroic stance has inspired many other players to follow his lead, bringing up a conversation about athletes, politics, and police brutality.

Kayne West has always said his Yeezy Brand will be the biggest street brand of our time. Well, it looks like that may be true, sources close to Kanye tell The Blast his Yeezy company with Adidas just received a valuation that put their total worth close to $1.5 BILLION.
Since Kanye is a majority stakeholder in Yeezy, he is right at the line with Jay Z and P Diddy in being considered a billionaire.
Kayne previously spoke about his brand’s growth on Twitter in Apr. 2018. He claimed that Yeezy was the second fastest growing company in fashion history. He also dubbed it the “unicorn” of the industry. “I am currently the single highest paid person in footwear. That means I make more money on shoes than Michael Jordan,” he wrote at the time.

In a stunning development shaking the entertainment world, Grammy-winning singer, entrepreneur, and reality TV star Kandi Burruss has quietly filed for divorce from her husband Todd Tucker, according to a newly uncovered divorce petition filed in Fulton County Superior Court on November 21, 2025. The filing was made under her married legal name, K. Lenice Tucker.
The court document confirms what fans and industry insiders have been speculating for months: one of reality television’s most successful power couples is now headed toward a legal split.
According to the petition, Kandi states that the marriage between her and Todd is “irretrievably broken,” the statutory grounds required under Georgia law when no reconciliation is possible.
The couple reportedly separated on July 15, 2025, and have lived apart since that date. 25CV016187 - PETITION
This means their separation had already been in effect for several months before Kandi filed the paperwork—suggesting that the marital issues had been ongoing behind the scenes.
The petition confirms that the couple shares two minor children, and Kandi is requesting:
The filing emphasizes that the children have always lived with both parents and that no other custody claims or competing legal actions exist.
Child support, she notes, should be determined under Georgia’s official guidelines.
One of the most significant revelations is Kandi’s insistence that the court enforce the prenuptial agreement she and Todd signed prior to their 2014 wedding.
If the prenup is upheld:
This could shorten what might otherwise become a lengthy and contentious divorce process.
Kandi requests that both parties be responsible for their own attorney fees—a sign that she may be aiming for a streamlined, minimally contentious resolution.
Her attorney on record is Adamma McKinnon, Esq., a respected Atlanta family law practitioner.
While the filing was submitted discreetly under her legal married name, its discovery is already sending shockwaves through:
Kandi and Todd—who married in 2014, built multiple businesses together, and became one of reality TV’s most profitable brands—have not yet issued public statements about the divorce.
Given Kandi’s stature as a major figure in music, television, hospitality, and investment ventures, the split could have significant personal and business implications.
Todd Tucker will now be formally served and given the opportunity to file a response. The court may then schedule hearings to address:
Hip Hop Enquirer will continue monitoring this developing story and provide exclusive updates as additional filings and responses emerge.
