Several hours ago, Philadelphia sheriffs tackled and arrested a topless woman who ran in front of comedian Bill Cosby as he arrived at court to began his retrial of Sexual Assault. 

Police tackled the woman as soon as she was able to dash in front of the comedian while Cosby’s attorney shielded him from her. The topless woman had words like “Cosby rapist” “Woman Lives Matter” and the names of his alleged victims scrolled over the top of her body in red and black paint.

The comedian is accused of drugging former basketball coach Andrea Constand in 2004 which Cosby has pleaded not guilty to. His earlier trial with this same woman ended in a hung jury last year.

Cardi B’s “Invasion of Privacy” is one of the most powerful debuts of this millennium.

Cardi B finally released her highly anticipated debut album Invasion of Privacy and everyone from Diddy to Oprah has given her a thumbs ups. The world patiently waited for the release of Invasion of Privacy since she dropped the albums first single Bodak Yellow 10 months ago. The 13 track album features several bangers that includes collaborations with some of the industry’s biggest talent from the Migos, Chance the Rapper, SZA, YG, and Kehlani.

As you can imagine the release of Invasion of Privacy rallied up all of Cardi’s critics and haters who have doubted her success since the Bronx native dropped her number 1 hit Bodak Yellow last year. Many had her pegged as a one hit wonder, but Cardi proved with Invasion of Privacy that she is a hit maker and we can guarantee that her first debut album will be No. 1 on the Billboard very soon.

The album isn’t just limited to hardcore rap Cardi showcased her softer side with tracks like “Be Careful’ and ‘Ring’. “Be Careful” was rooted in the late Nineties rap/R&B renaissance, that hip-hop legend Lauryn Hill signed off on. Cardi also takes us to the south with another hit track “Bickenhead, she samples some of Project Pat’s ‘Chicken Head’ and gives it up to Trick Daddy, telling the party people, “Make that pussy slip and slide like you from the 305.”

She also included a multilingual track ‘I Like it’ which was sampled from the vintage salsa hit (Pete Rodriguez’ 1967 “I Like It Like That”) for a duet with reggaeton star J. Balvin and Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. The album opens with ‘Get Up 10’ who many have compared to Meek Mill’s anthemic track “Dreams and Nightmares” intro, which recounted his origin story. Cardi’s version is also an autobiographical of her origins from childhood to the strip club and stardom.

The release of ‘Invasion of Privacy’ proved that Cardi is in the rap game to stay shutting down all haters who took her single “Bodak Yellow” for a fluke. “Invasion of Privacy” is one of the most powerful debuts of this millennium.

Continuing to build his buzz in the Windy City, Priority Records R&B singer Matt B releases his single “Hennessy Complexion.” The single is produced by 9x GRAMMY-award winning producer Bryan-Michael Cox who is known for his work with Usher, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and Toni Braxton among others.

“I like my girls like I like my drink, with that Hennesy Complexion,” Matt B joked. “B. Cox was cool and was willing to take a chance on me. He started running down some records for me and from there we got a hold of the Hennessy record. It’s really a concept that Black women are beautiful the way they are, especially the dark skinned women. I just kind of wanted to let them know they are appreciated and that we think they are beautiful.”

The fiery single is a sensual track with lots of bass, that’s ready for the clubs and is a shout out to all the brown and darker colored complexioned women across the world. Finding a balance between a club banger and a song that tackles cultural issues, Matt B found this song as a great way to express himself through writing with famed producer Bryan-Michael Cox.

Previously Matt B found viral success with his track “Hollywood” featuring Chi-Town rapper Lil Bibby. The track was widely successful and received posts on HotNewHipHop, MissInfo, TrapsNTrunks, ItsBizkit among others, but he has also worked with Casey Veggies and a host of up and coming singers and songwriters.

“I’ve been writing my own music for a while, but working with other artists it really forces me to push my pen and get better at my craft. I think that’s the struggle for a lot of up and coming recording artists – nobody really wants to write for you. But it was good, it forced me to get better at it, and now here I am,” Matt B said.

Prior to his success and signing a deal stateside with Priority Records, Matt B was signed to a record label in Japan where he charted several times across the Pacific. Despite his success in Japan, Matt B decided to return home to build his buzz in Chicago and in the USA.

“The good thing about Japan and transitioning over is that it showed Priority that I can sell records and while they didn’t always know how those numbers would translate, it was a good conversation starter,” Matt B explained.

“With overseas distribution I ended up reaching #1 twice on the iTunes R&B charts in Japan and I moved over 50, 000 units with each of my releases. From there I tried to branch back to the R&B market in the U.S. and that’s when I linked up with Mark Byrd, Bryan-Michael Cox and things started to moving with the help of my manager Angela and label consultant Pete.”

Hudson County, N.J.’s own J Littles reveals that his talents go well beyond his pen game as he reveals his self-directed new video for “Lucky,” a track brimming with lyrical insights and hints of musical nostalgia.

Producers Onhel x Jo bring that throwback Boom bap sound to “Lucky” by infusing it with head-nodding percussion and dusty vocal samples, both of which Littles uses to shape his lyrical and visual direction. The emcee explains in his bars that even when you think it couldn’t get any worse and you’re going through the worst of it, “The sh*t you complain about could be another person’s dream.”

That sentiment is brought to life by the character portrayed by Littles in “Lucky,” which was shot by VLM Films & Nova Vision. You watch as he moves through what appears to be a truly frustrating day filled with a car that won’t start, time spent in court, and other situations that would normally lead to negativity. But for Littles, he believes that “Ni**as need to count what they blessed with, instead of what they stressed with.”

Earlier Today, Conor McGregor crashed a press conference at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn that ended with him going on a rampage in the basement of the building. Video footage appears to show the mix martial arts fighter throwing a guard rail at a transport bus full of other MMA fighters who are slated to fight this weekend at that venue. McGregor was also seen throwing trash cans at the bus that resulted in several injuries.

As a result of his behavior, New York Police issued a warrant for his arrest which he later surrendered to police and was charged with assault.

UFC President Dana White stripped McGregor of his 155-pound championship today since he hadn’t defended it since 2016. McGregor took to his twitter page to respond to the stripping: “You’ll strip me of nothing.” White sat down with ESPN and stated that McGregor will likely face several lawsuits and that his plane would not be allowed to take off because of the warrant. “This was a real bad career move” White stated.

UFC released a statement Thursday night saying in part,

“UFC is working very closely with the New York Athletic Commission, Barclays Center security and law enforcement authorities. All parties are working together to ensure the highest standard of proper safety precautions are implemented to protect the fans and athletes.

The organization deems today’s disruption completely unacceptable and is currently working on the consequences that will follow. Immediately, Lobov has been removed from this weekend’s card and individuals involved in the incident are not welcome at tomorrow’s ceremonial weigh-in or Saturday’s event at Barclays Center.”

“I feel like without the blogs people wouldn’t be able to see the significance of my music as much. Every last one of them helps and it kind of motivated other people to take note of my music.
