The Grammy Award winning recording artist, Chance the Rapper, was just announced Wednesday morning to be the new headliner of this year’s Lollapalooza festival.
The popular and annual music festival is scheduled to take place in Chicago and former native, Chance, seems like the perfect fit. Lollapalooza even coined the rapper’s participation as “a hero’s homecoming”.
The Killers, Lorde, Arcade fire, Muse and Blink 182 are among the 2017 lineup that was also posted on the festival’s website Wednesday. The Chicago native will top Saturday’s performances. The Killers are booked to start things off Friday and Arcade Fire will close the festivities on that Sunday. Aside from these artists, 170 plus musicians will rock the stage like Wiz Khalifa, Foster The People, and Ryan Adams.
The Festival is slated to run for 4 days and will be located at Chicago’s Lakefront Grant Park. It has been held in the same city since 2005.
