Today for Throwback Thursday we take it back to Missy Elliott and Da Brat’s video for “Sock it 2 Me”. With her innovative concepts and unique style, Missy Elliott was killing all of her competition in the late 90’s. This track peaked at number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. “Sock It 2 Me” was a track produced by Timbaland who is good friends and business partners with Elliott.  The single was featured on Missy’s debut album Supa Dupa Fly. The futuristic video was inspired by the Mega Man video game series, features Lil Kim and was directed by Hype Williams. Enjoy the full video above.
