Jennifer Hudson’s ex David Otunga has accused the Dream Girl star of violating a gag order that was put in place in the midst of their tensed custody battle.
TMZ reports that David filed docs this week calling out Jennifer for allegedly throwing repeated public jabs his way. In the docs, David points to two incidents that he says Jennifer talked about him in a negative light.
On Dec. 4 episode of “The Voice” where Jennifer is talking to Davon Fleming, one of the contestants. She makes a crack about her relationships never lasting.
Then David accused Jennifer of shading him with an Instagram video where she’s whispering about hate and jealousy. She never says David’s name, but he thinks it’s all about him.
From the looks of the video, David might be grasping at straws trying to defame Jennifer’s character to win full custody of their son. He wants the judge to find Jennifer in contempt for violating the gag order.
Perhaps David O. should just unfollow her on social media and turn the channel on his TV. We are just saying.
Tavis Smiley has finally spoken out after being accused of sexual misconduct on Wednesday, and loosing his PBS distribution deal that cancelled his show “Tavis Smiley”. Smiley accuses PBS of running a sloppy investigation and says he will fight back.
TMZ caught up with Tavis and he says PBS railroaded him during its investigation into claims he was having sex with staffers, and he’s vowing to take a stand against the network’s “overreaction.” Smiley also stated that he only learned of the PBS investigation through former staffers who let him know they’d been contacted. Smiley says he confronted his bosses, and only then did investigators talk to him … for 3 hours.
He says investigators refused to talk to his current staff or accept documentation supporting his side of the story. He insists he “never groped, inappropriately exposed myself or coerced any colleague in the workplace ever in my 30 year career.”
Smiley allegedly had sexual relationships with multiple staff members, some of which reportedly felt that their relationship with the TV host was connected to their employment status.
Some said Smiley’s behavior generated a hostile work setting.
We thought Omarosa Manigault called it quits yesterday after resigning as Director of Communication for the Trump Administration. But new information tweeted by April Ryan claims that Omarosa was escorted out of the White House shouting profanities after the chief of staff John Kelly fired her on Wednesday.
“Omarsoa did not resign. She was even escorted out of the building and off campus.” “She was very upset and said she wanted to speak to the president,” Ryan reported.
According to sources, John Kelly said the president was already informed and sign off on the termination. Ryan reported.
Ryan’s Tweets came hours after White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters that “Omarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities. Her departure will not be effective until January 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service.”
The White House is disputing claims that Omarosa was escorted off of the property. But sources close to the action claim that John Kelly kicked her out with high drama and curse words.
The ” Apprentice” star and one of Trumps biggest African American supporter joined the administration as director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison.
No one is sure why Omarosa was fired, it is rumored that she has drawn scrutiny from White House Chief of Staff John Kelly for her work in the office designed to garner outside support for the president’s agenda.
Omarosa drew press attention after she brought her 39-person bridal party inside the White House this past spring for an “extended” photo shoot in the Rose Garden. It was unclear whether she had permission to take the photo op. And it has been reported she and the party were banned from posting any of the photos online by White House officials citing security and ethical concerns.
Omarosa’s termination comes at the start of what’s expected to be a round of departures heading into the new year. After the White House announced last week that deputy national security adviser Dina Powell will leave the administration early next year.
TMZ reports that Black Lives Matter leader DeRay McKesson is suing FOX News personality Jeanine Pirro for saying he directed protesters to attack a police officer.
McKesson says Pirro was on “FOX & Friends” on September 28, discussing a lawsuit filed by the cop against BLM. According to the suit, Pirro made a series of outrageous and false statements about him.
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, DeRay says Pirro blamed him for directing the violence, and added, “You’ve got a police officer who was injured, he was injured at the direction of DeRay McKesson.”
DeRay believes Pirro made her statements knowing they were false — and it’s damaged his rep and endangered him as a civil rights activist. A federal judge ruled McKesson was expressing his right to free speech at the demonstration, and it wasn’t his fault the officer got hurt.
DeRay’s suing both Pirro and FOX News for defamation.

Rap star Future hosted a special screening of the movie Ferdinand with the FreeWishes Foundation on Saturday, December 9th in snowy Atlanta at Regal Atlantic Station.
Ferdinand is a movie about a young bull who escapes from a training camp in rural Spain after his father never returns from a showdown with a matador. Adopted by a girl who lives on a farm, Ferdinand’s peaceful existence comes crashing down when the authorities return him to his former captors. ABC News reports Former South Carolina police officer Michael Slager was sentenced today to 20 years in prison for the 2015 deadly shooting of unarmed black man Walter Scott.
U.S. District Judge David Norton made the ruling after saying he would follow sentencing guidelines to send Slager to prison for 19 to 24 years. The former officer could have faced life in prison. Norton ruled that Slager committed second-degree murder and obstruction of justice.

It was an emotional day for both the Scott and Slager families. At one point Scott’s mother looked the former officer in the eye and told him she forgave him.
Walter Scott’s brother, Rodney Scott, called the death of his brother the worst day of his life. Rodney Scott said he wants Slager to pay for his actions.
Slager’s father, mother, sister and wife also spoke to the judge, begging for a lighter sentence. They talked about how Slager led a life of service and how upset they were after the shooting.
The judge’s decision comes after Slager, who is white, pleaded guilty to a federal civil rights offense.
Slager shot and killed Walter Scott on April 4, 2015, while Slager was an officer with the North Charleston Police Department. Witness video that surfaced shortly after the encounter appeared to show the moment Slager fatally shot Walter Scott as he ran away. He was fired from the force after the shooting.

Slager was charged in South Carolina with murder and pleaded not guilty. During the murder trial, Slager’s attorney said his client shot Walter Scott because he was in fear for his life. In 2016, the case ended in a mistrial. The state retrial and federal trial were expected to take place this year, but instead, in May Slager pleaded guilty to violating Walter Scott’s civil rights in federal court, ending the federal case against him and also resolving the state charges that were pending after the mistrial.
The judge’s ruling today followed several days of testimony, including from Feiden Santana, the witness who filmed the shooting.

The city of Atlanta has a new Mayor and her name is Keisha! 47-Year old Keisha Lance Bottoms declared victory in Tuesday’s runoff election for mayor against fellow Atlanta City Councilwoman Mary Norwood. Fewer than 800 votes separated Atlanta’s two candidates for mayor. After officials tallied more than 92,000 ballots that were cast in a runoff election on Tuesday.
“This has been a very, very, very long campaign, but as we look ahead toward the future, I look forward to engaging with each of you, making sure that our city continues to move forward,” said Ms. Bottoms, who is a member of the City Council from Southwest Atlanta. “And for those who did not support me, I look forward to working with you as well because this is still a city for all of us.” Bottoms stated in her victory speech on Wednesday after declaring victory.
Bottom’s opponent Ms. Norwood wasn’t satisfied with the election results and has requested a recount. Norwood lost the race, by 714 votes. “I’ve done this before,” said Ms. Norwood, an at-large city councilor. “The next few days are going to be all hands on deck and all analysis done, so we’re going to know that every single vote that has been cast is exactly reported out the way that it should be.”
Ms. Bottoms continues the black political power legacy in Atlanta, which has not had a white mayor since 1974.
Even a few Atlanta stars took the time to congratulate Mayor Keisha Bottoms. Rap Mogul T.I. offered a short congrats to the mayor-elect saying, “Congratulations, Keisha. And Killer Mike also applauded Bottoms for her victory. “Congratulations Astro! @keishabottoms Now Let’s Get to work,” he shared on Instagram. “I am at the City of Atlanta’s Service in any way needed! Love and Respect Mayor, KLB!”

CBS46 evening anchor, Sharon Reed called out a viewer Tuesday night during the 9 p.m. Peachtree TV newscast for calling her the N-word in an email and spelling it incorrectly.
Reed told viewer “On December 5, 2017, you think it’s okay to call this journalist a n*****,” Reed said. “I don’t. But I could clap back and say a few things to you. But instead, I will let your words Kathy Rae speak for themselves. And that will be the last word.”
The original email from a woman identified as Kathy Rae, which Reed showed on air, said: “You need to be fired for the race baiting comment you made tonight. It’s okay for blacks to discuss certain subjects but not whites. really? you are what I call a N***** not a black person. you are a racist N****. you are what’s wrong with the world”
The viewer was referring to when Reed during a news segment. Reed says the view mischaracterized her, “I didn’t say that white people couldn’t talk about race. Quite the contrary. We think that race is an authentic discussion to have. It’s one we’re having tonight because it’s one you are talking about at home. It has clearly entered the Atlanta mayor’s race.”
“We do try to keep it real here,” she added.
In another interview. Reed said the show gets social media comments all the time and she responded fairly off the cuff. What she said was not in a teleprompter. And she decided it was appropriate to use the N word at that moment.

“I’m not a fan of the use of the word but on the other hand, I get it. I don’t come down on artists and other people who have co-opted it for what they want to use it,” Reed said. “That said, if you’re going to write me using that word, I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to censor it for viewers. It’s after 9 o’clock. We’re talking race. She used it multiple times. There are grown-ups at home. They get it.”
She did email the viewer back and said thanked her for “making the show.” Her complaint was not about being called out. Rather, the woman said she didn’t like the fact Reed noted that she had misspelled the N word.
Reed acknowledged the woman’s note “ticked me off” but felt her response in the end “came out just right.”
